Thanks for the great mention of our service, KC. It's fun to be in a business that helps people, and to see customers who are really happy with the service. This is the first time I've worked for a company whose product truly makes people happy (and sentimental). We keep tissues in the lobby area for our customers, as they can view their transferred footage on some of the PCs up front if they choose...when they see film of loved ones who have since passed away, it really creates a special moment.

Love the quote at the bottom. Glad you posted this info because, though I did know about this stuff, there were a lot of years that I didn't and I know other people who need it spelled out for them, too.

Great article, thanks for the recommendations of Cloudmark and Mailwasher; I'll check those out. I've had good luck with SpamBully and Spambayes also. I believe Spambully has a free trial.

Great info to keep handy! My computer at work has exactly the kind of spam blocker you described. Our tech told us that it can be "trained" to recognize different types of mail. After several times of moving mail to the appropriate folders, such as 'blacklist', 'whitelist', 'spam', etc, it will learn in which folder to place each piece. Who would have thought 20 yrs ago, we'd have PC's, let alone trainable software programs!

You are really a great teacher! This is so understandable and clear.
I always wondered how you move through so many tasks so quickly! I'm going to print this out and use it as a "cheat sheet" til it becomes a habit.
Thanks!
