50K Anyone?
Friday, November 9th, 2007Well, hello everyone. It’s Kalie the cat, with “Cat-Blogging Fridays”. I know, I know, I’ve been a slacker with my blogs lately. Since we changed the clocks back though, I just haven’t been myself. I seem to be extremely busy with my cat-naps. But I haven’t forgotten you. In fact, I’ve got quite a few FUN things today for you. I know the ‘puter lady sends you stuff about ‘puter jargon and Internet babble, so I’m back to lighten things up a little.
Now, is anyone interested in receiving $50,000 dollars? Ah-ha… I thought that would get your attention. I’ll get to that in a minute.
First of all, here’s a FUN page you can visit when you get a few free minutes of play time. You’ve all heard of the popular FOX TV show, The Simpson’s… right? Well, if you want to see what YOU would look like as a Simpson (and who wouldn’t?), just go to www.Simpsonizeme.com and upload your picture. It’s really cool. Here’s one I did of the ‘puter lady:
Nice!?! Okay, moving right along, let’s look at some “cool tools”. Have you ever wanted to monitor a developing news story, keep tabs on your favorite cat food, get the latest on a celebrity or event, or keep current on a competitor or industry? Well, here’s a whisker-licking’ good way to do it. Just to to Google Alerts and enter your search words and email address. You’ll receive email notices for the latest web updates, based on your specifics. I’ve currently got an alert running with the search query… “tuna-scented air fresheners”. Yum.
Okay, now, let’s say you’ve got a product and you want to make a website to talk about it. If your product is something that people “want”, then you’ll probably have lots of people checking it out. But what if it’s just an everyday product that people “need”? Well, if that’s the case, you have to make your site F-U-N and give away FREE stuff, and ask people to sign up, so that your product will frequently stay in front of them. Here’s one of my favorite sites because each month, they have some new type of useful tool, that you can use around the house. It’s Scott Towels. Everybody needs paper towels… right?
